JEC MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAMME
Our unique two-year Management Trainee (MT) programme provides invaluable practical experience in the engineering field, under the guidance of JEC veterans. The management trainees will be assigned to different business units on a rotation basis to gain an overview of how JEC’s business operates. In addition, appropriate individuals may be relocated for assignments in JEC’s overseas business units for broader and international exposure.
Objectives
- To provide a structured and all-rounded training curriculum for all recruited MTs
- To develop a group of potential leaders and managers equipped with essential technical knowledge and business skills to support succession plan and the company’s future business expansion.

- University graduates in Engineering disciplines;
- Strong interest and enthusiasm in developing a career towards engineering and/or business development;
- Good interpersonal skills with positive attitude, eagerness to learn;
- Good planning and analytical skills;
- Excellent command in English and Chinese.

APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME
A long-standing partner with the Vocational Training Council (VTC), JEC has been training young technical professionals for the industry, unleashing their potential through structured internal and external trainings.
Registered under the HKSAR Government’s Apprenticeship Ordinance, JEC offers Apprenticeship Training Programme in the following areas:
- Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
- Building Services
- Fire Services
- Electrical
- Mechanical
Apprentices will go through a 3-year on-the-job training and concurrently being fully sponsored to undertake a course at the VTC.
- Internal technical training provided by experienced technical professionals.
- Internal scholarship to encourage life-long learning.
- Good performers will be nominated to participate in various competitions such as Outstanding Apprentices, WorldSkills, etc.
- Air-conditioning and Refrigeration apprentices will rotate among different teams for comprehensive exposure.
Completed S3
Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics
Diploma of Vocational Education-Earn and Learn* / Certificate of Vocational Education
Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering
- Part-time Day Release Mode: apprentice will be released 1 days per week to attend day classes.
- At times, they may need to attend evening classes as required by the course schedules
- Part-time Day Release Mode – apprentice will be released 1 day per week to attend day classes.
- At times, they may need to attend evening classes as required by the course schedules
- Air-conditioning and Refrigeration; or
- Building Services; or
- Fire Services; or
- Electrical; or
- Mechanical
- Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
Apprentice who has completed the first year of Diploma of Vocational Education course in VTC can shorten the training period for up to 1 year, subject to the approval of the Office of Apprenticeship
